Captain Shawn Steward has 14 years of sportfishing experience. Shawn grew up in Oxnard, California learning the business of sportfishing from the bottom up. He began by scrubbing boats, then to the deck hand, and then finally worked his way up to Captain.
Shawn has worked numerous sportfishing boats in the Channel Islands. Shawn joined the Excel team in 1997. He has learned from the best and was promoted to Captain of the Excel in 2001. We are excited about Shawn's return and know he will provide the best sportfishing experience possible




                                                                              








Captain Greg Ewart
started Sportfishing in Ventura in 1978.
  He has nearly 30 years of experience.
 Greg's reputation speaks for itself.

We are happy to see all our
regulars and welcome
 the new anglers aboard.

The Aloha Spirit will run daily at 5 am and
is available for
 Private Charters leaving as early as 4 am.

 The Aloha Spirit is licensed for 49 people coast wise 
   but is limiting loads.

    licensed for 20 people 100 miles out great if the Albacore show!
